Mr. Peale had lunch with a long time friend and started the conversation about a man he had met who siad that "it was impossible to be happy anymore." His longtime friend reached into his pocket and pulled out a card. This is what is said:
- Take Time to Laugh: It is music of the soul.
- Take Time to Play: It is the source of perpetual youth.
- Take Time to Pray: It is the greatest power on Earth.
- Take Time to Love and be Loved: It is a God given priviledge.
- Take Time to be friendly: It is the road to happiness.
- Take Time to Give: It is too short a day to be selfish.
Norman added one last one:
- Take Time for God: It is the way to Life.
